About Me

Hi there. :)

My name is Rebekah. I am a servant and daughter of the Most High. I have "...decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." (1 Cor. 1:2b)

I grew up in a awesome family, and I'm pretty sure I have the BEST parents ever. Don't argue with me. I'm right ;). (And I'm their favorite... *snort*) They've homeschooled me my whole life and through that, they have been able to "train up a child {this child} in the way he {she} should go..." I'm very blessed with the life I live. Mainly, its picture perfect.

The first big part of my life is mime. I have been part of Silent Lights Discipleship Ministry (formerly AIM Blacksburg) since I was seven. I grew up with all of these people and they have become like family. Silent Lights takes songs and acts out stories to them without talking or making any sound... hopefully. Although SLDM is a ministry and outreach, their main focus is discipleship. Through the bible studies and accountability, I grew SO much in my walk with God. Another main part of my life is music. Need I say more? Probably... :) I have been leading worship for  one and a half years and it is normally the highlight of my week. Playing guitar and singing to the Lord is probably my favorite pastime. I love singing so much. I do. It's just... so... awesome! My family gets sick of my singing all the time around the house. The Frozen soundtrack, especially,  has been thoroughly overused :).

The main part of my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my true Prince and my life would be void without him. My hope and prayer is to be a light to this world of darkness and to bring Christ's love to the world.

  1. Girl, that's awesome that you've been leading worship for so long! I play guitar and sing as well--I actually led worship a couple of the nights of the 2012 Guild (such an AWESOME experience!!) and led worship at various events with my dad also... Play hard, sing loud--make a joyful noise!
